We have a proud and strong history. Here are a few letters, documents and news paper clippings from our past.

Due to admirable taste and professional outlook, the company has flourished. The landscaping personnel take great pride in their work. Many projects have been completed and are a source of pride for Company as well as for the client. Since 1974 our work has been awarded many times for design and professional workmanship.

     Jaromir and Maria Zabehlicky carry their business under the name "Stray's Nursery and Landscape Services". The name Stray derived from the translation of the of the original surname.

     Jaromir was the son of a Czech farmer and horse breeder. Maria was born in Poland, the daughter of a lawyer and aristocratic family. In Czechoslovakia she received training in horticulture and landscape architecture. She worked in agricultural research and later she was involved in parks designing and supervision in Teplice, a spa city. Teplice is situated in a valley, surrounded by mountains with numerous streams, rivers and mountain lakes. It was here where Maria developed her ability to work with natural settings.

     The city itself, with its centuries old structures, gave her the opportunity to work with formal settings.

     The year 1974 brought the first recognition of capability in the area of design in landscaping.
